Bookings made through the FishScotland call centre or on line booking system are subject to FishScotland's standard conditions. If you haven't already read these, you can see them here
Fishery conditions
1. All Anglers must report to the Ghillie before fishing, and they should meet as designated above.
2. Fishing is from 9.00am to 5.00pm. A boat is available at the discretion of the ghillie.
3. Life jackets should be worn at all times, and these will be available in the fishing huts. Tenants who do not wear life jackets do so entirely at their own risk a charge of £20 will be made for replacement gas cylinders.
4. The beat is fished in rotation. Please adhere to the instructions of the ghillie.
5. Rod sharing is not permitted.
6. All salmon/sea trout caught must be reported to the ghillie, who maintains fishing records.
7. The Tay District Salmon Fisheries Board (Bob White is currently on the Board) is undertaking a conservation initiative, particularly of spring fish, and we would be grateful if you would adhere to the Board's catch and release recommendations.
8. All foul hooked/unseasonable fish must be returned safely to the river. Rods are particularly requested to return all coloured fish at any time throughout the season. The ghillie's decision in this matter is final.
9. Lures: any legal method. Shrimp and prawn prohibited at all times.
10. Use of a gaff is forbidden.
11. Be considerate to fellow anglers.
12. No litter to be discarded. Please bring it back to the fishing hut to be disposed of by the ghillie.
13. Follow the country code, particularly in relation to dogs, risk of fires and closure of gates.
14. No fixed rods or set lines.
15. No subletting.
16. The ghillies word is final. The proprietors shall not be bound to refund any rents paid in the event of cancellation for whatever reason.
17. The proprietors will accept no liability whatever for damage, injury or loss to the persons or belongings of the tenant, or those in his party, from whatever cause arising, nor can they be held in any way responsible for adverse weather conditions or acts of God.
18. The tipping of the ghillie is a traditional part of the British etiquette and tenants are encouraged to do so.

Tay conditions
1. To help prevent an outbreak of Gyrodactylus Salaris which has had catastrophic effects on some foreign rivers, all rods fishing must complete a Gyrodactylus declaration on arrival at the fishery. This states that either you have not used your fishing tackle abroad in the last three months, or you have done so and had it properly sterilised, or you have done so and NOT had it sterilised. In the latter case, you must agree to sterilisation taking place before you start fishing, and accept that there may be some delay in getting this organised. 2. The season is from 15th January to 15 October inclusive on the Tay and all tributaries, except the Earn which is 1st February to 31st October.
3. There is no fishing allowed on Sundays.
4. It is illegal to intentionally foulhook fish
5. No prawns or shrimps can be used at any time.
6. The Tay District Salmon Fisheries Board's conservation recommendations should be followed:
From 15 January to 31 May - release the first spring salmon caught each season and at least every second fish thereafter.
From 1st June to 15th October - anglers should aim to release at least 50% of what they catch over this period. In particular anglers are requested to release all coloured and gravid fish. Worms should not be used as bait anywhere before 1st June or in upper tributaries in September and October where coloured spring salmon are waiting to spawn.
