Description
The Dalguise beat is situated about two miles downstream of the confluence of the Tay and the Tummel and extends to over one-and-a-quarter miles of double bank fishing on the Middle Tay.
Dalguise provides excellent salmon fishing for a maximum of six rods with one boat and a ghillie. There are nine main pools on this remarkably consistent beat, and access along the river bank is good. There is also an excellent fishing hut overlooking the middle of the beat.
Dalguise will be available from the opening day on the 15th January, and thereafter anglers will be able take advantage of the spring run through to the end of May. Grilse generally enter the Tay towards the end of June, and provide good sport through to the end of August, which usually sees the start of the large autumn influx of salmon.
Dalguise will be available on daily or weekly lets for up to six rods, with weekly lets being given priority. Salmon fishing: six rods, with boat and ghillie, from £20 per rod per day.
This is an excellent chance to obtain a tenancy on a particularly attractive beat on one of the world's great salmon rivers. Hotel and country house accommodation can also be arranged.
