From 1st October day tickets increase to £12 and there are no weekly tickets. The season starts on 15th February and ends on the 31st of October. There is no Sunday fishing.
Fishing is by any legal method.

The Eden is a back end river. For those seeking salmon the main runs start at the end of July and build to their peak in October. The fish are still very fresh even in late October. The average size is about 8 to 10 lbs but fish into the twenties have been caught. The usual method is either trotting worms or spinning but a few are taken on the fly each year.

Sea trout fishing is mainly on the lower river especially on the tidal reaches. The sea trout start coming into the river in February and continue to frequent the tidal waters throughout the season. The best of the sea trout fishing is in July August and September. Fishing at dusk with an intermediate or floating line is the usual practice, but they can also be taken during the day on a float and maggot.

Brown trout to 3lbs are prevalent throughout the river. They offer good sport to the dry fly fisher on the middle and upper reaches. This part of the river has a more chalkstream feel about it. Many of the upper reaches are lightly fished and can give good sport to those that don't mind a bit of a walk.

The River Eden is in the heart of rural Fife. For those not wanting to fish all the time, there is an abundance of golf courses, historic towns such as St. Andrews to explore and a wealth of other leisure and cultural facilities.
