Description
Loch Tay Highland Lodges are situated on the north shore of Loch Tay near its western end at Killin. We have 10 salmon boats available for hire. Six have rights to fish in the western sector of Loch Tay and six for the central sector. Being situated near the boundary between the western and central sectors we are ideally situated to access both areas. However, the western sector is undoubtedly the most productive part of the Loch and our 6 west end boats amount to a quarter of all the boats permitted to fish in this area, making us one of the main providers of fishing on the Loch.
The boats are all 14 feet long, each with a cuddy for protection from inclement weather and outboard motors are provided in the hire price. They are comfortable and safe to use on Loch Tay. Boat hire costs £45 per day per boat during weekdays and £50 on Saturdays. This allows you to troll with 3 rods.
We are ideally situated close to the best fishing spots on Loch Tay so you do not have far to sail before you are in with the fish. Our staff are knowledgeable and always on hand to provide advice on where to fish and the best methods. There are a number of local experts who hire out their services as ghillies and we can also help to arrange for one to assist you if you so wish.
We have our own marina situated in the midst of the Loch Tay Highland Lodges complex. On the hillside surrounding the marina we also have numerous luxury pine chalets and tepees which can accommodate over 250 people, and a host of other indoor and outdoor activities including an equestrian centre. Right by the marina there is a very comfortable bar and resturant. Loch Tay Highland Lodges is the perfect place for a memorable day's fishing. There is also lots to do for non-fishing members of the family whether you are on a day trip or here for a longer holiday. It is the perfect place for a holiday.
