Lower Tummel PAC Fishings
Location
River Tummel from Moulinearn to Ballinluig
Summary
5 Year average catch: Not available
2 miles double bank fishing, 10 pools
Price range: £20 - £30 per rod/day
Description
This lovely stretch of water extends from Moulinearn, five kilometres from Pitlochry, down to Ballinluig, nine kilometres from Pitlochry. It is a good fly-fishing beat, and spinning is also allowed. However, worm fishing is not allowed at any time. There is no gillie. The conservation guidance issued by the Tay District Salmon Fisheries Board is strongly commended to all anglers on the beat.
In 2005 Pitlochry Angling Club has the beat 28 March to 2 April, 9 to 14 May and we have just confirmed that we have 30 May to 2 July, and 11 July to 3 September on the beat too, which is excellent news. The prospects for late May and early June are very good, as the Tummel is fishing very well just now. Bookings for the summer period (£20 per ticket, 4 tickets per
day) can be made on line through the FishTay website online through FishTay
or through the FishTay office 01573 470612. Alternatively bookings may be made through the contact points in 'Contact Details'. Tickets will also be available from 28 May over the counter at Pitlochry Tourist Information
