Salmon fishing (Tuesday/Thursday/Saturday)
3 rods with boat and ghillie
Prices from £26 to £60 per day (3 rods)
Description
This is one of the most picturesque beats on the River Tay with seven superbpools offering the fly fisherman sport the whole length of the beat. The beat fishes well in all heights of water, from late spring and summer into the autumn.
Stenton beat is half a mile long and fished from both banks by wading and from the boat. It is located two miles from Dunkeld and marches with the Glendelvine water where Miss Ballantine caught the British record salmon of 64 lbs.
An arrangement exists with the opposite proprietors whereby anglers fish double bank on alternate days. The Stenton days for 2005 are Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday commencing on January 18th and finishing on October 15th. Single days for three rods are available for let, although priority will be given for full weekly lets. Three rods may fish with the services of a ghillie and boat
